When does the tree lot open?
The 2026 season opens Friday, November 27. We typically operate until trees sell out, usually around mid-December.
What forms of payment are accepted?
We accept all major credit cards, cash, and checks.
What tree varieties and sizes are available?
We carry Noble, Douglas, Nordmann, and Grand firs in sizes from 3 to 12 feet, along with tabletop silver tip trees, wreaths, and garland. Each tree is individually tagged and priced by variety and size. Selection varies throughout the season.
Are tree stands available?
Yes. We also offer a stand exchange program: purchase a stand once, bring it back the following year, and take home your new tree already in a stand. Stands are priced separately from trees.
Can I buy a tree for curbside pickup?
We do not sell trees sight unseen. Our volunteers will help you choose a tree, carry it to your vehicle, and secure it for the trip home.
Do you deliver and set up trees?
Yes. Delivery and in-home setup are available for an additional fee after you choose your tree at the lot. Prices depend on the size of the tree and delivery location; please arrange a date and time with our volunteers.
How should I care for my tree?
Keep the fresh-cut trunk in a stand with adequate water and away from heat registers or vents. Check the water level regularly, particularly during the first several days.
Are public restrooms available?
No, public restrooms are not available at the tree lot. Restrooms may be available at Mitchell Park or the Mitchell Park Library, but we cannot guarantee their availability because those facilities are operated by the city.
